Certification Options

To support your integration with SAP solutions, SAP provides a rich array of integration packages that consist of the following:
  • Instructions on how to interface a third-party application with a particular element of an SAP solution
  • Specific descriptions of the interfaces and integration technologies
  • Information on the business processes supported by the integration
Armed with this information, you can connect your software to an SAP solution while ensuring high quality and customer satisfaction. SAP offers you over 100 predefined integration scenarios to SAP solutions that let you integrate your product with the underlying SAP NetWeaver technology layer, as well as with the SAP ERP application, SAP industry solutions, and the SAP Business One application. These well-defined integration scenarios are designed to help reduce your development cycle as well as ensure your success with customer projects in the long run.

Integration Scenario Categories
We have more than 100 pre-defined integration scenarios to help third-party software vendors integrate their products to SAP solutions. We have categorized and branded these scenarios depending on which SAP solution or technology they are based. Integrations developed using these scenarios can be certified by SAP ICC. To help you choose the best scenario, we have an index of scenarios and their associated logos below, and we suggest that you join our SAP Developer Network to learn more about the requirements surrounding these different certification scenarios.

New! Additions to Integration Certification Options
We continually strive to update and expand our service offerings so as to include all the latest evolving technologies. SAP updates and expands our menu of certification options. This year, our new service offerings include the following.

Qualify Your Solution as “SAP Solution Manager Ready”
The SAP Solution Manager application management solution provides the integrated content, tools, and methodologies that organizations need to implement, support, operate, and monitor their enterprises’ SAP and non-SAP solutions. SAP Integration and Certification Center has introduced testing procedures, to enable software products to be fully capable of integrating to the SAP Solution Manager, as part of the regular integration certification.
This enhanced certification process will include additional test criteria to register a third-party solution on the customer’s system landscape directory (SLD). The SLD is synchronized with the SAP Solution Manager and ensures that joint customers can quickly get a root-cause analysis from SAP to enhance overall supportability. This centralized handling of support messages makes the support organizations more efficient and thus lowers total cost of ownership once again.

How This Works
In SAP Solution Manager, non-SAP software with SAP-certified integration, including these new test criteria, is entered into a central repository, the product and production maintenance system. Every month this repository is transferred automatically to customers’ SLDs. SAP customers can then easily identify which version of third-party software integration has been certified by SAP. From a software provider’s perspective, the SLD provides information about certified solutions across the entire SAP customer base for as long as the certification remains valid. After the registration of third-party software solution on the customer SLD, the solution will be visible on the technical landscape at the customer’s SAP Solution Manager. SAP customer administrators or the SAP Active Global Support organization can then easily identify and track the current configuration and log files of these certified third-party solutions. A third-party software vendor can leverage all of these benefits with a one-time integration certification fee.
