Certification Process
The Certification Process with SAP’s Integration & Certification Center As a third-party software developer, you may have one particular solution or several solutions eligible for integration certification. To choose the best certification scenario, we suggest you set up your free account on SAP Developer Network you can get acquainted with the SAP technical community and learn more about the requirements related to the different certification scenarios.
Step 1: Select Your Certification and Prepare for Ramp up With the assistance of your local SAP Integration & Certification Center (ICC) contact, or your SAP partner liaison / partner manager if you are enrolled in SAP PartnerEdge for software solution partners, choose your certification option and download from SDN the associated e-learning modules, “flashbook” presentations, code samples, and Weblogs. You can also sign up for integration consulting, workshops, and an integration assessment with SAP ICC to fortify your knowledge base. To request any fee-based consulting services, please contact icc@sap.com directly.
Step 2: Develop and Document During your development cycle, you need access to an SAP test system. You can do this remotely via the SAP remote access connectivity kit offered by SAP ICC or purchase an in-house license from your local SAP sales office. Once you have completed the development and documentation requirements, you are ready to request integration certification contracts from SAP ICC.
Complete the form at http://www.sap.com/PartnerApplication/icc. SAP will issue a formal SAP ICC contract for you to sign and return within three months. After you have executed the contract and paid the applicable fees, you can schedule your certification date at any SAP ICC location.
Step 3: Complete Your Certification SAP ICC will assign a consultant to work with you on preparing for certification and to conduct and document your certification test.
Step 4: Take advantage of Certification Benefits and Apply for Partnership Once you have successfully completed your certification test, you will receive the appropriate certification logo and online listings, and you can proactively market the certified integration via your own press release and other channels.
Also you will be eligible to apply for partnership and participate in SAP marketing activities, if you have a complementary solution to SAP technology. To apply for partnership, simply complete the application form and select the appropriate partnership category. Upon acceptance into the program, you will receive a welcome kit containing comprehensive information about the partner program and the benefits and activities available to you.
